Showers & enclosures

New showers, trays and enclosures, from simple swaps to full alcove transformations.

Whether your shower has lost its pressure, the tray has started leaking or you simply want something that looks and feels better, we install showers that are built to last. We fit mixer and thermostatic showers, rainfall heads, trays and enclosures, and we make sure the waterproofing underneath is done right.

Most shower problems start behind the tiles: a tray that was never properly supported, a valve that’s past its best or boards that have taken on water. When we replace a shower we strip back to sound walls and floor, fix what we find and build it back properly, so you’re not dealing with the same issue in a couple of years.

Our arched shower alcove project is a good example. The old tiles, boards and tray were stripped out completely, then the space was rebuilt with a new low-profile tray, a sliding enclosure in a bronze finish, an overhead rainfall shower with a separate handset, and floor-to-ceiling deep green tiles with a built-in shelf.

Not every job needs a full rebuild. We also swap out tired shower valves and heads, replace enclosure doors and seals, and fix leaks around trays and screens.

What we can help with

  • Thermostatic and mixer shower valves
  • Rainfall heads and handset kits
  • Low-profile shower trays
  • Sliding, pivot and bi-fold enclosures
  • Showers over baths with screens
  • Leaking tray and seal repairs
  • Alcove and recess conversions
  • Replacement of failed shower valves

Recent project: arched shower alcove transformation

Finished arched shower alcove by OJP Plumbing with deep green tiles, bronze sliding enclosure and rainfall shower
Shower alcove before: old tiles, damaged boards and the old tray removed, leaving bare timber and a waste hole

An old, failing shower recess rebuilt from the frame out, with a bold finish to match the arch. Drag the handle to compare.

Common questions

My shower pressure is poor. Can you help?

Often, yes. Low pressure can come from a failing valve, a blocked head, undersized pipework or the type of hot water system you have. We’ll find the cause and explain the options, from a simple repair to a different type of shower.

Can you replace a shower tray without redoing the whole bathroom?

In many cases we can replace the tray and enclosure on their own. If the walls around the tray have been damaged by water, we’ll show you and recommend the right fix before carrying on.

We recently moved into our property and needed a few ‘upgrades’. Thankfully we found Olly. He was able to come out and help us with removing our gas hob. We then arranged for him to come back and replace our upstairs toilet and handbasin. He arrived on time this morning with his apprentice and got to work immediately. He also sorted out the plumbing needed so we could move our washing machine into the utility room. We will definitely get him back when we are ready to move on with other plumbing work and I am now considering swapping out some radiators! He is efficient, friendly, informative and fairly priced. We would definitely recommend him.
